Welcome to Research & Development!
At BioArctic, Research & Development is at the heart of our mission to improve the lives of people living with neurodegenerative diseases. Building on pioneering discoveries in Alzheimer’s disease, our R&D organization focuses on developing disease-modifying treatments that can transform how conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, ALS and Huntington's disease are understood, diagnosed and treated.
Our teams work across the entire R&D value chain, from early discovery and antibody engineering to preclinical and clinical development. We specialize in innovative therapies targeting misfolded proteins in the central nervous system, including amyloid beta, alpha-synuclein and TDP-43. By combining cutting-edge neurobiology with advanced biologics expertise, we aim to slow or halt disease progression, not just alleviate symptoms. In addition, we are working on technologies to improve the delivery of drugs over the blood-brain barrier via our BrainTransporter platform.
Collaboration is core to how we work. As a BioArctic R&D colleague, you will be part of an agile, science-driven environment that partners closely with leading academic groups and global pharmaceutical companies. Our long-term strategic collaboration with Eisai around the anti-amyloid beta antibody lecanemab (LEQEMBI) is one example of how we translate strong science into meaningful patient benefit on a global scale.
We offer a setting where curiosity, integrity and quality guide every decision. You will join a highly specialized, friendly and inclusive team where your ideas can have a direct impact, and where you are encouraged to take responsibility, grow your expertise and help shape the future of neuroscience drug development.
If you are passionate about making a real difference for patients and want to contribute to world-class research in a focused Swedish biotech company, BioArctic’s R&D organization could be the place for you.
